Although many of us would consider ourselves to be multitaskers, it has been determined through scientific research that very few of us are able to multitask effectively. Another way for you to use the telephone effectively is to keep in mind that people enjoy talking about themselves. Don't try to dominate the conversation but give them the opportunity to talk every once in a while.
